Keep Your Image Fresh

Edited: Jan 2, 2018

Refresh your image regularly so there’s always something new. Share stories, ideas, and plans with great people too. This is a great way to expand on your image, both inside and out. It'll push you to continuously have a new project, a new goal, or even a new piece of advice someone could use.

One easy way to freshen up your image is by contributing. Contribute new value, posts and information to some of your existing networks. This will keep the conversation about you going for longer. There's a story being told about you, and when you cease to be around, you cease to be relevant. Don't break for too long. And please, don't get rusty!

If you expect to be impulsed and excited most of the time, you have to also be impulsing and exciting to yourself and those around you. The things going on inside that little body of yours are being projected to all of us on the outside. I won't even go into all the things you can see, when you truly begin seeing, but just know that we see what's going on. -- You can't fake the funk.

Be you. The ever growing, ever changing, everlasting you.

When you stop learning, growing, and being... You stop living. Don't give up on life that easy.

Get started today, to work towards your goals and dreams, because your life depends on it.

  • In as few words as possible, self-image is the idea you have of yourself. -- It's that picture in your mind that radiates so vividly, all your goals, dreams, accomplishments, and failures. Your self-image dictates what you do from the moment you wake up, until you tuck down into the covers. Your self-image will determine your complete life's journey. Why? Humans are very visual creatures, and as visual creatures, we gravitate toward the things we see and relate to. Think of babies... They have a steady eye on their parents. As soon as mom or dad leaves the room, the child can very easily fall into a frantic attitude. -- The same goes for what we see in life. When what we want (love) to see is taken away, we easily become worried, distressed, and confused. If you have a main goal or dream that you seriously desire to fulfill, yet the image of that end goal constantly gets obstructed, you'll easily find yourself in an uncomfortable position. You might not even understand what's truly wrong... Now you know. It's cause you can't see. You can't see your goals, you can't see your dreams, and you can't see your desires becoming a reality. Sure, you'd like them to be real, and you're "working" towards them... Do you really believe? That image you have has got to be clear, and it has to be something you really want. Make it the most successful thing you've ever seen, and work toward becoming that... Doesn't matter if you ever get there, the most important part, is that you do your best. • Take a minute to search out your truest self... Your truest feelings, your truest desires. Is this in alignment with where you currently are? Is this in alignment with the same self that's going through the storm? Because at the end of the day, they need to be the same person. Actually, the person going through all the mess right now, is going to be even better than that image of who you want to be... But you must keep developing. You must keep going, and keep moving toward that better self you're visualizing. Imagine that your body is the car, the world around you is the road, and your mind is the driver. There are all types of pathways you can take to reach your destination, but there's one that'll be the exact fit; flow with it and don't worry about the traffic shown on the map. I know I'm not the only one that has tried taking a different route than what my GPS said, only to end up later than what I would've been. "Shortcuts". Sometimes I get there sooner, but majority of the time now, the GPS knows what's up. So I learned to hang tight and just follow. The best part about your journey is that there's no arrival time. You get there when you get there, but the faster, yet more skilled you drive, the quicker you'll get there. -- Some people in your life will be "Sunday drivers", others will be skilled professionals, many will be going with the flow of traffic or going slightly slower/faster, than you. Drive your style, but drive. Get to the destination. Stop pulling over... Enough with the pit-stops, how many times do you need to eat and use the bathroom? Come on already. There are people waiting to cruise at a faster pace with you... That's another cool thing about this. If you decide to drive faster and more skilled, there will be tons of people willing to show you how to be even better; for your safety and everyone else's. Driving fast doesn't have to be dangerous, but you have to make sure you can handle it, the car can handle it, and the road is well enough designed. Enough about cars. Go live a fast but skilled life. In five years I went from not having a plan, to being a prison guard, to trading stocks, and now I'm writing these words. Get your engine pumping and put the pedal to the metal. You have it in you, but you can't be afraid to let it out. Start now. Comment below with any questions or topics you'd like covered. • The sad but true reality is that as we grow, we stop developing, we stop challenging ourselves, and we stop taking risks for the things we want... The proper risks. We're all so ready to cross oceans, desert places, and practically starve ourselves for situations that only benefit us for the moment, but don't set us up for the long term. Delayed gratification is near extinction today... I'll talk more about this in other segments, for now, understand that you need patience to become your true self. It's a process that doesn't happen overnight, and it won't happen in a week, but once you change your mindset now... Everything else changes. From this moment you'll just have to keep climbing higher until you reach the top or close to it. Now, is the moment that will dictate your course for the next five, ten, and fifteen years. The more time you waste, you further you're getting away from that image you have for yourself. If you want to make six figures this year, you have to do seven figure work. If you want to be a good partner, you have to learn to be an amazing partner. Things will trickle down, so shoot for your highest, that way if people only get your sixty percent, it'll still be better than the majority at seventy-five to ninety percent. Give one hundred percent of whatever you have and you'll see your percentages increase gradually, but definitely. I leave you with this last thing... Doing one percent better for three hundred sixty-five days will bring you a whopping three hundred plus percent better by the end of the year. -- If you do better financially each week, by just one percent... How much will your life change? Do the same for your self-image, and who you want to be as a person. You can do this. Comment below with any questions or topics you'd like covered.
