Have you ever been on vacation by the beach?
Or... Have you ever just visited the beach and took a stroll on the boardwalk?
While strolling on the boardwalk, have you ever noticed the number of random novelty shops there are available on each strip?
The one thing I want you to understand about all this is that these novelty shops sell t-shirts.
Why is this important for you to know?
I want you to realize that these little shops make hundreds and even thousands of dollars daily, simply by making and selling t-shirts.
There is a way that you can make money by designing and selling your own custom t-shirts.
When I was younger, a friend of mine had immigrated to America from abroad. His dad found great opportunity in creating and selling t-shirts on the boardwalk for years since they had arrived.
As we grew up, I occasionally had the opportunity to sit in the shop during the summer and watch how business was done. I even had my share of experiences leading a few of the customers to sales.
One day when we were older, they had expanded their operations and decided to manage their own clothing stores within prime retail locations; malls to be exact.
This is when I truly got to see the bigger success model behind creating and selling custom t-shirts.
We were selling our regular shirts for $25... Custom could cost you at least another $10-$15... And if you wanted a special coating to protect your shirt images, it would cost another $5-$7.
-- Me, myself, I would sell about $650-$1,200 per day in t-shirt packages.
-- My sales staff would conduct sales ranging from $350-$950 per day in t-shirt packages; we had about 2-5 other workers with me on a given shift.
You can see that the money was rolling in pretty heavy if you do the math.
Unfortunately, at the time I didn't.
I wasn't counting the money that was actually passing by me, nor was I paying attention to the money I was making, because I was content with my salary and the future possibilities.
Things didn't work out and I ended up leaving that business which set me up to be able to work at a mass production print shop.
Guess what we printed...
We designed them.
We printed them.
We shipped them.
Everything from beginning to end, we did.
But we also hung signs, we printed banners, we wrapped vehicles, we even supplied the school uniforms for a mandatory dress code... None the less, I still didn't truly focus on the money being made by t-shirts.
Clients spent at least $10 a piece for 24 shirts which is $240 dollars; on big orders, clients would spend about $6.50 a piece for at least 100 shirts which is $650 dollars.
I recently worked as a contractor for a private fashion company, and it was a similar situation.
